I’m an avid reader and very proud to be a continuous student of life and happy to be learning not just from my personal and entrepreneurial experiences, but also from others who have gone before me or along side of me. Below you will find the books listed as I have read them.
Beware, just because I have read the books listed below, it’s not necessarily an recommendation from me of each particular book. As you may expect there will be books among them that I absolutely love and some that are rather so-so and some absolutely waste of timers.
As a by note:
You may notice, that I sometimes finish several books in a day and that’s due to speed reading. I deliberately taught myself to read fast (at one point I bought 4 books on the subject and learned from their advice) and have found that my comprehension and retention is hardly negatively affected by it.
In school we are usually taught to read very slowly especially when something is really important and that we need to understand it and retain the information. The problem is that we then carry on in life believing that we must continue to read slowly in order to comprehend the message and perhaps even retain some of it.
Not so!

I did it myself, and although I can be totally distracted too like so many other people with social media, mobile phones, text messages and small kids around me even, I found my retention and comprehension was exactly the same whether I was reading 200 words a minute or 700 words a minute.

I wasn’t always a good reader.
When I was little and in the process of learning how to read, I really struggled. My mother sat with me and “forced” me through reading sessions. It was painful and I often cried.
Today, however, I’m eternally grateful for her persistence and how she got me through it.
Point is: I hear many tell me they don’t have time to read or they don’t read well. In truth, I feel this is just another excuse. Everybody can acquire the skill and everybody should. You cannot imagine the knowledge, skills, insights and thoughts you will gain from good reading, nor the places your imagination will take you as a consequence of something you came across and read somewhere.
