Prestigious award by Danish newspaper Børsen is awarded to the company Freetrailer, owned and operated by Allan Sønderskov Darré, Aksel Blomgren Ambjørner and Mikkel Pitzner
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – October 19th 2012 – Mikkel Pitzner, marketing expert, successful businessman and partner of several businesses, professional board member and mentor was pleased to announce that one of the companies he is a partner of recently was awarded the prestigious Gazelle award for the 4th year consecutively in Denmark.
The award, which is inducted by the leading Danish business and financial newspaper, Børsen, is given to companies who fulfill certain criteria as follows:
The company must be a Corporation (Inc.) or a LLC
The company must have a minimum revenue of DKK 1 million (approximately US$ 175,600)
There must have been minimum 4 tax returns publicized (each of a 12 month period)
Positive growth of revenue or gross results must be present in each of the 4 years
The sum of the primary result must be positive
And finally
The revenue or the gross result must have doubled during the 4 years.
Among the companies awarded the Gazelle award by Børsen this year was the company named Freetrailer, owned and operated by FT Group, a company owned by Allan Sønderskov Darré, Aksel Blomgren Ambjørner and Mikkel Pitzner.
It is the 4th consecutive year Freetrailer has received this recognition, a feat only accomplished by 17 companies this year.
Freetrailer is a very unique marketing and trailer rental company with locations all over Denmark and Sweden and with ambitious plans for expansion to many other countries in Europe and possibly the US.
The concept entails offering small cargo trailers for free rentals via typically big box companies who fund the trailers by the price the pay for the advertising they get on the trailers.
“It’s a great concept that optimizes synergies and needs of the user and the companies. Many companies offer products that are too big to be transported home in their customers’ cars. So for the price conscious customer the free trailer solution makes great sense. They can literally rent a trailer for a few hours for free in which the can transport their purchases home in. Meanwhile the big box companies receive great positive recognition, loyalty and more customers for making this solution available to the customers all while their advertising is taken out on the road being shown in all the right areas to all the other potential customers. The companies at which Freetrailer is available at present in Denmark and Sweden comprise companies such as self storage locations, home improvement and DIY stores, furniture stores, auction houses and a multitude of others. One of the main big box companies working with Freetrailer is IKEA.
Questioned on when Freetrailer would come to the US, Mikkel Pitzner stated:
“As soon as IKEA or some of the other many big box companies in the US wants it here and will commit, then we will certainly make it happen. There is an equal need here too and it is such a powerful marketing avenue with great return on investment at relatively low cost. Our plans are to establish the concept here in the US too and it will happen as soon as we have the first large company committed to it.”
The partners and owners of Freetrailer also run another company together which is a marketing and production company called Aksel &Ko.
