The post below first appeared on LinkedIn Pulse, where I updated all my connections on the progress of Project Baseline. I had received so many friendly “likes” and congratulations on my anniversary for co-founding the local chapter of the great Project Baseline initiative.
I did reference the post in my last post here a couple of days ago. I decided today, however that I would post the original post here on my own website too.
This initiative is an important activity for me, even though I don’t actually get to do much on it lately. But the initiative remains close to my heart and interest and it’s only reasonable that the post therefore also finds its place here.

These days mark my 4th year anniversary of co-founding the local chapter of Project Baseline, the Project Baseline Gulfstream chapter and during this period of time I receive a lot of friendly congratulations on my anniversary via my network here on LinkedIn.
However, I have the impression that most may not really know what this Project Baseline really is, so while I appreciate the friendly congratulations, I thought it might be suitable to provide an update about the efforts of Project Baseline and probably also provide you with a greater insight to what it actually is.
Project Baseline is a non-profit initiative that strives to engage everyone who has a love for the waters around us, to help establish a current baseline for the state of health of the element.
This also means that this is not a job, nor a line of income for me. Instead it is an activity and initiative to which I donate some of my time, expertise and interest. Why? Because it’s a very worthwhile initiative that I believe can bring a lot of value to all and one which we all should have an interest in.
By taking images, videos and writing small reports a baseline for the current situation can be established. Then over time as images, videos and other reports are collected from the exact same location, we can all get an idea of the development taking place.
The data being collected and made available for everyone to gauge into, can help scientists, politicians, policy makers, companies and private individuals make educated analysis of what is going on with one of the world’s most important resources: Our Waters.
As long time divers, we often come back and revisit dive spots over time. Sometimes quite some time later than when we dove a certain spot last. Often when we are accompanied by divers new to a location, they may surface from the dive exclaiming just how magnificent a sight was or indeed how amazing the visibility was. Something to which we unfortunately often would say something along the lines of: “You should have seen it 10 years ago when it was really extraordinary”.
In other words, we who have witnessed a place over many years, have also been witnessing a deterioration of the place.
Yet, with no images to show for. No videos to showcase and no real written accounts, these memories, become just that memories. But the memories lack scientific evidence or pure and simple clear illustration of how things were compared to how things are today.
This is what we are seeking to change with the Project Baseline initiative.
When we go diving we often bring along a video camera or means of grabbing images. So why not grab something, report it and then make it available for others?
When we grab an image today, it establishes a baseline for how it looks today. It will show whatever growth there is, perhaps a beautiful coral and special outcropping or something else.
This baseline then becomes a valuable point of reference to the state of health of the area and its development over time, especially when over time we obtain new images from the same location.
Over time we may see an improvement of the state of health and see that more wildlife has gathered and that the corals are growing. This is great.
Unfortunately, it seems most often that’s not what we are seeing though. Instead we often see a deterioration of the state of health of a location. Dying or disappearing corals or algae growths that tell a story of too much fertilizers migrating from the fields into our groundwater and out to sea, or effects from other problems we humans are a cause of.
We see sand sediments spread over natural coral causing basically a suffocation of the corals. Sand sediments due to beach builds initiatives that do not seem to realize that much of this sand is of a kind that will quickly migrate from where we wanted the sand to stay (on the beach for us to and the tourists to lay on) to places where the sand does great harm.
However, out of sight is often out of mind.
Because all of this is under the water, under the surface, most people will never witness it. It’s often not high on the radar for most people, let alone those policy makers who could potentially move the needle to improve our tomorrows and help save and nurture our precious resources.
With Project Baseline we hope to gain strength in force of many, many private individuals such as yourself who may be diving or somehow else be visiting aquatic areas from time to time. Grab images and videos, give us a small report on your findings. Repeat this over time, and soon we’ll all have a huge database that will clearly tell a story.
A story that can help instill greater awareness and perhaps greater urgency for something to be done to alleviate the problem.
And yes, there are often things that can actually be done to fix our problems and in some cases there are even already funds in place that could be utilized to do so. However, with no public awareness, nor pressure onto local politicians, very often nothing is done.
We hope that we can change this.
It’s not that we are a political organization for that is indeed not our aim at all. But we value our natural resources and I believe we can all agree that often ignorance can kill off our resources. If we do not think much about the issues caused by excessive use of fertilizers for instance and its effects on our drinking water, we may never realize the problems before they are too big or we are too late.
We would like to raise everybody’s awareness, so that collectively we can instill the right cause of action and the right behavior for how we treat our planet and our resources.
The Osborne Tire Reef is a man-made reef that was put together using discarded tires bundled together with metal strips and filled with concrete and then dumped in one place to form a reef in the hopes of creating a habitat to attract fish and other wildlife.
Unfortunately, the project has turned into a disaster. The metal strips corroded and the bundles of tires came undone and with every storm that hits the areas, the tires are migrating away from where they were meant to be and are now moving sometimes vast distances.
Many of the tires have already migrated in such a way that they have crushed into, onto and beyond the natural reefs in the areas and have destroyed a lot of what nature took decades to build.
Well, it just so happens that there is in fact a fund established which has run for many years. For every tire sold a piece of the price goes to the fund and the money is to help clean up for pollution and mistakes stemming from the industry you might say.
For the Osborne Tire Reef that means the fix would be to make use of such monies to fish out all the tires and recycle them into something of better use with hopefully no associated pollution or worsening state of affairs.
And yes, there is in fact a little bit of clean up taking place currently. There has been previously too. The problem is, it seems the efforts fish up too little and too late. No efforts have been instilled with the aim of getting all the tires fished out, only spurts of getting some spots of the collected area cleaned up.
With several millions of tires being dumped, I believe the collected amount of tires being fished out has been less than 300,000.
It seems to me, the fix would be a heightened awareness to get the job done. More pressure on the policy makers and decision takers, so it can get organized. It’s a doable feat and the money is already there. But the public in general have no knowledge of the issue and that means it’s not high on the political agenda either.
The other specific example I mentioned is that of the Hollywood Sewage Outflow.
Just a little bit out from the beach of Hollywood in the South of Florida, just a little bit away from where locals and tourists flock to visit the beach and bathe in the ocean, a huge sewage outflow spurts out millions of gallons of treated sewage water directly into the ocean.
Yes, the sewage is treated, but that doesn’t mean it’s clean and it doesn’t mean it’s good for the ocean or for the wildlife there either.
Witnessing this site personally, I can say it leaves a big impression. This huge pipe streams out this huge plume with great force. Millions of gallons – each and every day.
It is what we jokingly may refer to “the shittiest dive ever”.
But it really is no joke.
Problem is, just like that of the Osborne Tire Reef, that this is below the water surface, so in general nobody knows of it and nobody thinks of it.
We hope our efforts may help change some of that and we ask that you help share and comment in on publications such as this one. We ask that you reach out to local politicians and get them engaged in solving it. We ask that you help monitor local spots with your images, videos and reports and we ask that you donate to our cause and organization so that we can do more.
Oh, and the fix with the Hollywood Sewage Outflow?
Well, possibly the Hollywood Sewage Outflow could be fixed by setting up engineered wetlands, quite possibly using some of the vast areas of nearby Everglades.
I’m no scientist by any means, but I’m a concerned citizen who have witnessed these two cases in person on several dives. I’m concerned about the state of health of our waters and you should be too.
It seems evident that nothing gets done without public pressures directing attention to the problems. Collectively we may just make a difference.

Spurred on by many “likes” and congratulations that I have received these past days in connection with my anniversary with Project Baseline, I thought it would be a good opportunity to give an update to the initiatives of Project Baseline and perhaps also remind people that this is in fact a non-profit initiative and that I receive no compensation or income from my efforts and involvement with the activities.

Finally it has happened. Freetrailer USA is a reality. The business got its US corporation established July 15th 2015.
It’s been a long time in the making and the waiting period for some of us – me in particular – has been very, very long indeed. But alas, we now have our US entity established and that means also that we can now actually commence real pursuit of partners and business in the United States for our hugely popular business model and service offering.
For those not familiar with our service, here’s a quick introduction:
We Rent Out Small Cargo Trailers For FREE!!
That’s right. We offer small cargo trailer for rental for free.
These are small closed box trailers that you latch onto your vehicle using a hitch and can use in connection with moving “stuff”.
The stuff can be more or less anything, as long as the size and weight can fit within the limitations of the cargo trailer.
Our history for Freetrailer began in 2004.
The idea maker and one of the founders had rented a small cargo trailer from a gas station (the typical place of rental of trailers in Denmark) and was a bit put off with the hassle it had proved to be along with the relative steep cost of rental (typically no less than US$80 per 24 hours). He thought there had to be a better way.
Thinking it through further, he had the brilliant idea that perhaps there would be a great match between businesses who would be willing to pay for advertising on the trailer so that this could fund the availability of the trailer, so that users could borrow the trailer for free. In addition it would make sense if such advertiser was a place of business that sold items that had a certain size, that would perhaps challenge its customers on how they would bring home the purchases.
He discussed the idea with his friend, who liked the idea so much that he eventually quit his job in order to work on this concept full time – and soon Freetrailer (Denmark) was a reality.
IKEA was the first retailer that embraced the concept and by September 2004, the first 34 trailers were available at an IKEA outlet in Taastrup in Denmark.
From there is has grown steadily at an incredible rate.
I personally became a partner of the company in 2007, by which we established a partnership consisting of 3 equal partners and equity holders.
In 2006, Freetrailer opened up in Sweden and became there as well an instant success.
Today that means that we are operating throughout Denmark and throughout Sweden – covering extremely well the entirety of the two countries, yet with more growth possible as well as taken place.
Earlier this year, Freetrailer also opened up its first Norwegian operation and at the time of writing this we even have the contract for Norwegian’s second location. Many, many more are expected to follow in near future.
Germany is also hot on its trail and I wouldn’t be surprised if we will see our first German operation(s) in effect this year. More countries are in pursuit too, so keep your eyes and ears open for more news on our progression.
Meanwhile, across the pond, we have, as I started off with, finally established our US entity, which I will personally be spearheading.
I am truly super excited about it. It’s been long in the making with our initial ideas about the US prospect being discussed all the way back to my entering the business in the partnership.
It was in 2008 that I moved to the United States. The idea was that I would more or less try to get Freetrailer started straight away, but just a few months following my entry to the US and we (the world) entered into the terrible financial crisis and we immediately decided to put the brakes on and hold off on the idea.
A year ago, we then once again renewed the vow to get us started in the US and now it’s finally happening.
Naturally, as you would expect, it may be a while before we get retailers committed and before we get the many various components settled for a US operation, but I am confident that we shall see our first physical operation opened up this year and I am also certain that we shall soon see many, many more locations follow in its footsteps.
I suspect that I will post many more updates on this matter from time to time, so stay with me and follow along this super exciting journey.

It’s the fourth of July today.

So first of, a very Happy Fourth of July to all my American friends out there.
You may not know this already, but I’m Danish. Born and raised in Denmark. Took my University education, studying Economics at University College of London in England (1986–1991), moved to the States in 1991 or so (New Jersey) for a small year to trade futures (FOREX), but found it sensible to move back to Denmark to work for family business which I did till 1998 or 1999, while I also ran my first own business of Copenhagen Limousine Service (from November 1996) till I sold that in October 2010.
I moved to the United States again in the summer of 2008. For many years I had wanted to move abroad again and to seek broader perspectives and grow in mental capacity while charging forth with new ventures and a new life.
It’s a funny thing, but although I’m a Dane and although I find I actually usually become more patriotic when I live abroad, I also consider myself American. Not because I am American. But America is the country that I live in out of choice. I love America and I love Americans. I’m proud to be here and I wish to be able to provide value to the country and become an asset to the country.
In other words, I actually consider myself as patriotic about America as most Americans I know and I have met.
I get chills whenever I hear the National Anthem (what a beautiful song and what a great story behind it) and I will stand up and hold my hand over my heart when I do so.
I support America in conversations and discussion (not blindly, but when sensible discussions are abounds) and although I’m not blind to the negative or silly arguments that may come about, I’m truly considering the pros and cons of the country.
Every country and every nation has pros and cons. There’s good sentiments everywhere, just as you will find silly arguments and discussions everywhere.
But I have chosen the United States to be my home and I love it. Indeed this choice may not be forever, but I do doubt I will ever return to live in Denmark. Instead and if not in the US, I might just choose to seek new horizons some day and try yet another country. But that won’t be for just now. It’s not on my agenda, and I’m truly happy to be in the United States.
I plan to build a new venture here (alongside some of the ones I have already established and that I’m still trying to gain some real traction with).
America is the Land of Milk and Honey. No, it’s not easier here than in so many other countries. Building success and business anywhere comes with challenges. It’s just how it is. But I believe there are true opportunities everywhere for the enthusiastic entrepreneur that shows courage and brings lots of stamina and persistence. Those opportunities are outside of America, but certainly also present here in America.
Like I say, I’m patriotic about America. I fully conquer with the sentiments that was so beautifully and emotionally told in the film Born On The Fourth Of July: “Love It Or Leave It”.
As an ex-patriot I often meet other ex-patriot. Not just from Denmark, but from many other countries. Often when things get tough here, they will commence moaning and start their talk on things being better “back home”.
My response will invariably be: “Well, go back home then!”
Love it or Leave it.
If you don’t love it here, then nobody is holding you here, so just leave.
Of course, such are my thoughts too, when I hear about immigrants coming to my home country, Denmark, when they commence their complaining or whining.
If you don’t like it, then go home.
Otherwise, accept that there will be challenges. If you are unhappy about certain aspects or situations in your chosen country, well, then work at making them better. Who knows, perhaps you can actually bring some value and help improve things. Perhaps you can actually become an asset to your country (your new country) and your new fellow countrymen.
As I said, I moved to the United States in 2008. I met my wife here too. She isn’t born American, but is actually Polish. But she did become Nationalized a few years back and is now an American Citizen. Choosing a Polish girl or a non-American girl wasn’t a specific choice. I did so simply out of happenstance and love. It could equally have been an American girl, but just so happened, I landed with a wonderful Polish girl.
We have two children together. Both born in the United States, so in our little family we have a full international committee going on.
Having two American children only adds to my sensation of patriotism for America.
I feel I’m entitled to feel American and I’m proud of it too.
Don’t like it?
Well, that’s your problem. Sorry. I mean no offense, but that’s how I feel about it.
I’m proud of being here and I’m proud of this country as any good standing American citizen would be.
So when Fourth Of July comes around, I too will feel perhaps just a little more American and perhaps just a little more patriotic and a little more proud.
When I extend a Happy Fourth of July to others, I’m extending one as well to myself. I hope you are good with that.
My wife is very pro-peace. I’m of course pro peace to. Of course I do not like war or conflicts. However, I do feel sometimes there are no other course of actions that one can take.
No, this is not to say that I particularly support any one particular course of war or not. In truth, I do not wish to commence any political debate on the subject.
I have certain opinions, but I rather hold these for myself.
Let’s just say (and this is the point I wish to make), that I appreciate that I am free. I appreciate that I live in a free country.

So as we now have the Fourth of July, and as we celebrate the birthday of the United States, I do salute the men and women who has made it happen and made it possible and I salute those who still make it so. Thank you for your service.
I know there are people out there making sacrifices that means that I can sleep restful at night and trust in the safety of my family. Thank you for your sacrifices.

I’ve had an account on Medium.com for some time now. But I have hardly used it, let alone written on it.
Well, all of that has just recently changed.
There are predominantly 3 reasons for my posting there:
1. I really like how the layout looks and feel.
2. I wish to reach a greater audience
3. Medium has an interesting element of allowing for followers and for making recommendations and sharing
The first point is that of the looks and the feel of the site. I’m a very visually driven person, so I do get inspired by things that look good and that gives you a nice visual experience and sensation. I think for a “blogging site” which you might essentially think it is, Medium has an incredible way of allowing for the content to look and feel great.
The second point really has a great deal to do with reaching a greater audience. If I’m going to spend time writing my musings then I might as well have an audience and have people actually seeing it.
Here at www.mikkelpitzner.com I have a decent amount of traffic, which means people visiting my site. However, out there in the internet space, there are many more, who may never hear of me, unless they accidentally come across it or indeed if someone else shares, recommends or somehow else make them aware of my presence. In other words, it is important to be in many places and not just in one.
Do I know that Medium really works? No. Is Medium the best space for it? I honestly don’t know and I suspect, probably not. Are there other platforms that I should engage in (first)? Yes, and I will (probably) in foreseeable future.
But I do like the idea that people can follow you over at Medium.com and that they can recommend you to others, which bring me to point number 3.
From time to time, I also post over on LinkedIn, where I’m connected on a first level basis with over 14,000 (at present time). LinkedIn also has a nice way of posting articles and posts and there, you also can follow people that you feel bring valuable insights. I follow several awesome people there myself, including several that I would call mentors.
Tumblr similarly has some appeal and has the ability for you to follow others and I believe that you can build your feed stream actually by following others there, so that your feed is made up from people you like or enjoy reading. Well, I’m on Tumblr too, but in truth, most of my posts there have been made up of my Instagram feed so far. But that could change.
My aim is not to reach the entire world or to become super famous. However, I do have a vast experience and I do have more and more formulated opinions about certain things. I also have much appreciated learning from lots and lots of mentors, who have gone before me, so in truth, I feel more and more obliged to also share the knowledge that I have gained – either through personal experience or from my extensive studies.
You may be interested to know, that I actually make a point of posting unique input on each of these platforms. In other words, I do not just post one place and then make a copy and paste it over at all the other places. If you go to my marketing company, Amazing Ideas, Inc. and check out the latest news there, you will find my insights on everything on marketing.

I would most of all like to present my views and experiences in relations to the same topic areas as the Business, Leadership and Mindset goes, but at least I will endeavor to keep everything unique.
Does that mean you will have to go onto all these platforms and follow me there also? Well, it actually does, if you wish to get all my stuff, but no, having you just one of the places will be appreciated, so I suggest you pick the feed that holds the most appeal to you. Naturally, the feed here on my personal ego-website is here to stay, but I’m not master over the other sites, so who knows what may happen to one or more of them down the road.
Just know, that I appreciate your presence with me where ever it may be. I hope that you will follow along with me on my journey and along my musings and writings. Ultimately, I invite you to connect and engage with me. Tell me your view points, experiences and stories. Tell me what you like and what you don’t like. The more interaction the more exciting it will get and it may just help me bring more of what resonates with you and less of what doesn’t.

Since I do not know each and everyone coming to my site, I don’t know how much you know about me. However, let me just quickly say, that I have a very vast experience of running businesses (smaller and a few somewhat decent in size). The businesses of past and of present have spanned many varied industries, cultures, countries, States and even continents.
Common for all the businesses I have run or still am involved in, and common with any other business I have encountered is a need for marketing. Marketing that actually works.
I have tried a lot of different tactics and I have wasted a lot of money on the wrong marketing avenues. I have in addition spent huge amounts of money and time studying with some of the top marketers of today (predominantly in relation to online marketing).
Well, as you may assume, I have over time learned both from personal experience and from many mentors what marketing works, what makes sense to engage in depending on your time frame, work you want to allocate to it or money that you are happy to invest in it.
So here’s the thing.
While, I’m currently giving away one of my books for free, that is inevitably an offer that will in all likelihood go away at some point – either in near future when the small stock I have left has been given away or when I get tired of re-ordering new books (and gotten tired enough of that expense) and thus will end the offer.
However, I still wish to share the insights that have gained over the years. Insights that I have paid for expensively via personal experience via the businesses that I have marketed or via studies with my many mentors (programs that typically run at $1,997 to $10,000 a piece).
Let’s be honest here. It’s not just that I wish to be all altruistic (although that does play a part too). But there’s actually also something in it for me too. To begin with, I believe it’s good karma. In addition though, it honestly inspires me and also makes the knowledge more clear for myself too. If ever you have shared your knowledge with others, such as in teaching someone something, then you know that for you to teach it, you actually had to become even more savvy and knowledgeable of your content and lessons. In other words, when I teach or show you the insights, that I have gained and I can share, then I become even better at it too and my insights become even more clear and solid.
So while, I will feel really good about helping you with my insights, I will actually become even better at it myself. This is important for me too. Not just for the businesses that I still run or those that I will be involved with in future. But it also is incredibly important for one of my current businesses that actually helps businesses with their online marketing and other online presence.
Amazing Ideas, Inc. is my marketing agency. I have had this business for a little while now, but not really until about a year ago did I open up officially for business offering online marketing services for other businesses. When I show you or teach you my marketing insights, I become better at marketing too and I gain more clarity about which elements actually produce that best return. I just completely bombed with some of my newer activities. It’s in my business of Amazing Ideas, Inc., which basically is a marketing company in Castle Rock, Colorado. Via this business I sell online marketing, web designs and strategic online presence – your online DNA.
Among the services that we offer here you will find the “get ranked high on Google for your relevant search term” offer. Since I have studied this excessively since 2008 with all the best marketers of today, I would say that I have quite a big insight into how you can make this happen and get your results. Ultimately, what you are looking for is for customers to come chasing you down rather than you having to chase after customers in order for your to get the revenues for your business.
There are many factors that you put in place to achieve your high ranking and with Amazing Ideas, Inc. we only employ natural and real avenues, what is often termed “White Hat” applications as opposed to the sneaky “Black Hat” tricks that many marketers use.
We don’t use “Black Hat” tricks, cause ultimately what these are, are just a way of “cheating” Google to rank you better. But Google is not stupid. they study continuously what goes on and with their algorithm updates they will eventually close up the loop hole that you may have found and all of a sudden your beautiful and somewhat undeserved high rank will be forever gone.
So no Black Hat tricks for us, please. We want to be ranked, but only when it makes sense and actually adds value to the user. If we don’t add value to the end user, it’s probably because we didn’t reach the right user and we didn’t reach the right user when we tried to rank for something that is in fact not relevant to the user. When we don’t add value to the end user, they don’t buy from us and we gained little if anything at all.
Anyways, we have been focused on helping other local businesses getting their online presence right so they could reap the benefits and grow their business. In other words among other things we have helped them get high ranking with Google, so that they derive more leads and ultimately more customers calling upon them.
Meanwhile, being so focused on others, meant we actually forgot about ourselves entirely. That’s right we did nothing for our own ranking for relevant search terms including the words “Marketing Castle Rock”.
This naturally also begs the question for someone who gets introduced to us of, how can we sell “Get Ranked High Solutions”, when we in fact are not ranked high ourselves for relevant keywords?
It’s a matter of walking the talk.
OK, at least we are still early in the game, so we have commenced a little bit of effort in the matter and expect to see some results very soon. In fact we actually did get us from page 21 of Google to page 1 in a matter of a few hours. Not the best of “true” placements, but considering the extremely short time period and the extremely broad search term (“Marketing Castle Rock”), I’m actually stoked. And more to the point, it also proves that we can live up to our claim of making such results happen.
We will continue a bit of work on our keywords and of course we will need to expand upon these as we go along. Marketing Castle Rock is not too specific and will not yield the optimal results in all likelihood.

Especially since 2008 I have intensively studied marketing – with a focus on online marketing. Those who know me, knows that I am engaged in many varied businesses and actually has been for a majority of my life. I love doing multiple things, new things and to seek new possibilities and opportunities.
What I learned early on is that every business is in need of great marketing. I have learned that first hand from running several different businesses spanning many unrelated industries across borders of countries, States and continents.

In addition my move to the US and not least the huge consequences I suffered from the horrible financial crisis of 2008, made it necessary for me to reinvent myself to certain degree and inadvertently, I began consulting on marketing aspects.
A couple of years ago I moved to Colorado. Up from Florida. I decided to establish a company from which I could sell my services and expertise and I named it Amazing Ideas, Inc.
Via this company, I’m now building a base of more and more clients, helping them get something out of their marketing dollars. Just looking around and you will see so much misspent money and misspent attention in terms of marketing that will give the spender little if any results. By setting yourself up the right way, you can actually turn a really sound return of investment out of your marketing budget.
That’s what I help clients do.
I get them straightened out with some of the most important aspects of their online marketing efforts and their online presence – what I also call their online DNA. I help them get automated on many of the follow up procedures and set in place a system that can almost handle itself entirely and work for them, even when they are not working themselves. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Such is the power of online marketing and the tools and systems that are available to us today.
Anyways, my Amazing Ideas, Inc. is naturally open for business from any- and everywhere, but currently I’m focused on getting a stronger foothold locally, which means that I’m specifically targeting local businesses here in the Castle Rock area of Colorado where I presently reside.
Now, that said, I just did a small survey of the Fortune 100 companies of the United States. Would you believe it? A full 32% of them are making at least one hugely grave mistake, that I could actually fix for them, probably relatively easily, quickly and rather inexpensively.
In other words, I probably should reach out to them to point out their hugely disservice to their businesses.

I wrote a new article today that spells out a great and possibly somewhat unique opportunity that many businesses have right now. It’s an open window, but who knows how much longer it will stay open.
Why Google’s Latest Algorithm Change Is A Great Blessing In Disguise
The latest algorithm change that Google rolled out April 21st this year could be a great opportunity and a blessing in disguise for a lot of businesses.
The algorithm, which has lovingly been nicknamed Mobilegeddon, now favors mobile-friendly websites for all searches carried out on mobile devices. The change only affects search results done on mobile devices and therefore you won’t find any changes affecting your searches done on your laptop or desktop.
But seeing that more than 60% of all searches these days are done on a mobile device the algorithm change is to be considered extremely important. In the extreme version, if your website is not mobile friendly, then you may just have lost 60% of all your online traffic (60% of all your new potential customers has just been eliminated from your business).
If your website is not mobile-friendly and you still have not noticed any changes in your inbound calls and connections from new potential customers, then it might just be a matter of time before you will. Google specifically has stated that crawling and re-indexing the websites may take a little time, but the effect will take place.
